Stripe’s standard pricing

In the US, Stripe charges 2.9% plus 30 cents for each successful domestic card payment, with no setup or monthly fee on standard pricing. International cards add 1.5%, manually entered cards add 0.5% and a currency conversion adds 1%. Stripe Invoicing on the Starter plan adds 0.4% for each paid invoice.

Disputes cost $15 each when they are received. The fee is refunded if you win a dispute you counter yourself, but not if you lose.

Charging enough to receive a set amount

The percentage is taken from the total the customer pays, so adding 2.9% to your price leaves you slightly short. Enter 0 for the item cost, set the pricing goal to the amount you want to receive and the calculator shows the lowest price that leaves you with that after fees.
